<transcy>Doubles the battery life of your device</transcy>
<transcy>Compatible with all device</transcy>
Witty is compatible with any portable device that charges via USB type A such as tablets, smartwatches, headphones, Bluetooth speakers or smartphones. It is compatible with power supplies up to 65W but charging will be limited to the USB standard of 4A.
There is no operating system restriction as it can be used with both iOS and Android.
Also compatible with all USB chargers for DSLRs and light panels (e.g. Neewer & Moman).
In addition, Witty is small with an almost insignificant weight.
<transcy>Eco-Friendly</transcy>
Witty contributes to offsetting CO2 by investing part of its turnover in planting trees in needy areas of the planet, thanks to its partnership with TreeNation. But we also want to be sustainable in packaging and shipping to the customer. In fact, we do not use plastic to ship our products.
Disposing of lithium is very expensive: it takes about 5000 dollars to recycle one tonne. Partly because of the complexity of the process, only 5% of batteries placed on the market in Europe are disposed of.
Witty reduces the amount of battery waste and slows down the extraction of lithium, which causes huge water wastage, up to 2 million litres of water to extract just 1 kg of lithium.
Manufacturing a single Dell portable battery (<1 kg) results in 10 kg of CO2e emissions. A Green Alliance report found that extending the life of a smartphone by one year reduces its carbon footprint by 1/3.
According to a study by the European Environmental Bureau (2019), the use of our mobile phone for at least a year more would save 2.1 million tons of CO2 per year by 2030.
If only 10% of the world's population used Witty, there would be an annual saving of 144 million batteries, 863 tonnes of lithium and almost 2 billion litres of water.

<transcy>How does it work?</transcy>
<transcy>ASO technology</transcy>
ASO technology, completely Made in Italy, patented by Witty Srls, was developed by a team of electronic, mechanical and management engineers following a two-year study in the laboratories of the University of Rome "La Sapienza".
The ASO is able to read the energy that the smartphone requires from the charger and disconnect the battery from the mains when the device’s energy requirement has been met. It's like unplugging the charger from the electrical outlet. Unlike all charge controllers, ASO does not read the voltage or capacity of the battery, but analyses the current flow between the device being charged and the charger.
Disconnecting the battery when fully charged prevents it from remaining at its end-of-charge voltage even after reaching 100%, a situation that is extremely damaging to the lithium cell electrodes, thus allowing the battery to lower to a more comfortable voltage and begin its discharge cycle.
It's like relaxing your muscles after an intense workout.
<transcy>Self-powered</transcy>
Witty is self-powered, which means it does not need batteries to operate.
It works by using the electricity flowing between the charger and the device without causing any additional electrical waste and is deactivated when shut off.
